A week across Europe’s largest mountain plateau
This is a true wilderness expedition — no marked snowmobile trails and no cabin comforts. Each day we travel 10–15 km on skis, pulling sleds with our gear, and set camp in tents out on the plateau.
The trip is rated moderate to advanced. Conditions can be challenging, but the reward is complete immersion in nature: vast silence, reindeer tracks, and nights under the stars.
Evenings are spent preparing meals together and sharing stories by the light of the stove. It’s a demanding but unforgettable experience of Norway’s high mountain wilderness.
Prerequisites
Participants should have previous experience with cross-country skiing and winter camping, and be comfortable spending several days outdoors in cold conditions. A solid level of physical fitness is essential to manage the daily distances, carry a loaded pack or pulk, and handle the challenges of winter terrain. This adventure is well-suited for those who enjoy long days outside and want to further develop their skills in a true Arctic environment.
