Wild Trout Adventure

Experience the thrill of catching wild trout in crystal-clear mountain lakes—surrounded by Norway's most spectacular wilderness.

What to expect

Wild trout in pristine mountain lakes

This is wilderness fishing at its finest — far from roads, in some of the most beautiful and remote mountain lakes on Hardangervidda. We travel by boat, packraft, or canoe depending on the location and conditions, giving you access to waters that few anglers ever reach.

The lakes are home to wild mountain trout — fish that have never seen a hatchery, living their entire lives in these cold, clear waters. Catching one is a true reward, and the experience of being out here is unforgettable regardless of what ends up on the line.

Your guide knows the waters, the weather, and the fish. Whether you're an experienced angler or have never held a rod, we adapt the day to suit you — teaching technique, finding the right spots, and making sure you're comfortable and confident throughout.

The journey to the fishing spots is part of the adventure. Depending on where we go, you might paddle a packraft across a mountain lake, hike through alpine terrain, or take a scenic boat ride deeper into the wilderness. The trip is fully customizable — we match the route and activity level to your group's physical shape and interests.

Wild Trout Adventure
Who it's for

No experience required

This trip is designed for everyone — from complete beginners to experienced anglers. If you've never fished before, your guide will teach you everything you need: how to cast, read the water, and handle the fish. If you're experienced, we'll help you refine your technique and explore new waters.

The physical difficulty is flexible. We can keep it gentle with boat access and minimal hiking, or we can add more adventure with longer paddles and hikes to more remote lakes. Your guide will discuss options with you and tailor the day accordingly.

What's included

Just bring warm layers, waterproof clothing, sunglasses, and a sense of adventure. We take care of the rest.
