These terms apply between Spak Events AS (org.no 933 559 149, org@spakevents.no) and you as customer. Spak Events AS markets experiences under the brand name Rjukan Adventure.

1. Booking & Payment

• 1.1 Your booking is confirmed when you receive confirmation from Spak Events AS / Rjukan Adventure.
• 1.2 A 15% deposit is due 7 days after booking.
• 1.3 Full balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the start date of the trip.
• 1.4 Payments are made exclusively via IterQuest.
• 1.5 Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.

2. Customer Cancellations

• 2.1 30+ days prior: Refund of amounts paid, excluding the 15% deposit.
• 2.2 0–29 days prior: No refund (we strongly recommend cancellation/travel insurance).
• 2.3 No-shows or late arrivals are non-refundable.

3. Changes/Cancellation by Organizer

For reasons related to safety, weather, or other conditions beyond the organizer’s control (force majeure), the itinerary or content of the activity may be subject to change. In the event that weather conditions make it impossible to conduct the activity (such as ice climbing), the organizer will offer an alternative date or reschedule the activity. Refunds are not provided in such circumstances.

4. Participant Requirements & Safety

• 4.1 You are responsible for being fit for the chosen activity.
• 4.2 Disclose relevant medical conditions before the trip.
• 4.3 Follow guide instructions; we may refuse participation if safety is at risk.
• 4.4 Alcohol/drugs are not permitted during activities.

5. Insurance

Our trips do not include insurance. All participants must hold valid travel/accident insurance suitable for the specific activities (e.g., paddling, hiking, camping).

6. Equipment & Damage

Participants are responsible for damage to loaned/rented equipment caused by misuse or negligence.

7. Liability

Outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Spak Events AS (Rjukan Adventure) and affiliated guides are not liable for losses beyond mandatory Norwegian law.

8. Privacy (GDPR)

We process personal data to manage bookings and deliver services. See our Privacy Policy. Payment data is handled via IterQuest and payment partners.

9. Complaints

Notify your guide immediately if something is not as expected. Written complaints may be submitted within 7 days after the activity.

10. Governing Law & Venue

Norwegian law applies. Venue: District Court of Vestfold and Telemark.

11. Photos & Marketing

During activities, guides may take photos or videos for documentation or marketing purposes. We will always respect your privacy—please inform us if you prefer not to be photographed.

2. Data we collect

• 2.1 Identity & contact: name, email, phone, country.
• 2.2 Booking details: selected trip, date, participants, add-ons.
• 2.3 Payment info: handled by IterQuest and payment partners; we don’t store card numbers.
• 2.4 Communications: inquiries, confirmations, practical info.
• 2.5 Technical logs: necessary cookies and security logs.

3. Purpose & legal basis

To manage bookings, take payment, deliver services and ensure safety. Basis: performance of contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

4. Sharing

Only when necessary: guides/providers involved in the trip, IterQuest (booking/payment), and IT vendors under data-processing agreements.

5. Retention

Personal data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, typically within 24 months after the activity, except where law requires longer (e.g., accounting).

6. Transfers outside EEA

If used, transfers rely on valid safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Your rights

• Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.

8. Cookies

We use necessary cookies for operation and security. Analytics/marketing only where enabled and consented.

9. Security

We use encryption, access control, and logging. Payments are handled by IterQuest and payment partners.
